DB-338 Best Dental Amalgamators
The DB-338 Amalgamator, by brands like COXO, is a microprocessor-controlled dental device for precisely mixing amalgam materials (like mercury-based fillings) in capsules.
The best Dental Amalgamators Featuring programmable digital timing (1-99s), an “8”-shaped oscillation pattern, quiet operation, and safety shut-off when the cover opens.
It provides consistent, homogeneous mixes crucial for dental fillings, offering ease of use and stable performance for dental professionals.
How it works
- Capsule: A sealed capsule contains the alloy powder and mercury.
- Mixing: The capsule is placed in the amalgamator, which holds it in a holder that oscillates rapidly in a figure-eight pattern.
- Trituration: This motion, called trituration, vigorously mixes and blends the materials into a smooth, uniform paste.
- Result: A perfectly mixed amalgam material ready for placement in a tooth cavity.
Importance
- Efficiency: Speeds up the process of preparing restorative materials.
- Consistency: Guarantees a reliable mix quality for strong fillings.
- Versatility: Mixes various materials beyond just amalgam.
